IMO 2019 Result: RESONite Anubhab won Silver Medal for India

The IMO (International Maths Olympiad) is the largest and most prestigious of all of the Olympiads. The 60th IMO was held at Bath, The United Kingdom in July 2019. Where RESONite Anubhab Ghosal won a Silver Medal for India.

The Mathematical Olympiad Programme in India is organized by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) on behalf of the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM) of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India

Examination is conducted in 6 stages
Stage – 1 PRMO - Pre-Regional Mathematical Olympiad
Stage – 2 RMO - Regional Mathematical Olympiad
Stage – 3 INMO - Indian National Mathematical Olympiad
Stage – 4 IMOTC - International Mathematical Olympiad Training Camp
Stage – 5 PDT - Pre-departure Training Camp
Stage – 6 IMO - International Mathematical Olympiad

Anubhab Ghosal is a Regular Classroom Student of Resonance and a resident of Kolkata. He has been studying with Resonance since class 11th. Anubhav is a Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) Scholar 2018-19, in which he secured AIR-127.

He also qualified NSEA (National Standard Exam in Astronomy) in 2019.

This is Anubhab's second Achievement in a Maths Olympiad. As in the same year, he won a Bronze Medal at Asian Pacific Maths Olympiad (APMO).

He said, "The preparation strategy at Resonance is unique and elaborative. The teachers are very supportive and they keep on motivating you to achieve more. I will always be thankful to Resonance for giving me that extra edge to achieve success. It is because of Resonance, I won 2 Medals in Maths Olympiads this year."

In IMO, the competition involved teams of up to six contestants sitting two exams on consecutive days. Each exam lasted 4.5 hours and contained three hard problems. Contestants’ scripts were marked over the next few days with each solution (or attempt) being awarded a score out of seven.

This unique event brought together the brightest young minds from around the world. And represented, for them, the culmination of many years of maths endeavour and hundreds of attempts at solving problems.

IMO Support Program by Resonance : A Support Program to help the aspirants of IMO 2019-20 in ensuring their success under the systematic approach of preparation given by the team of Resonance experts.

Students of Resonance have been performing their best in Maths Olympiads. In 2017, RESONite Yash Sanjeev won a Bronze medal at IMO held at Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. This was the first Medal of Kota in IMO. And Rajasthan finally got a medallist in IMO after a wait of 15 years.
