Resonites excelled in KVPY exam (72 selections)

Resonance has once again excelled in the domain of Competitive Examinations with 72 Selections from its Classroom Contact Programmes in the first Stage (Written Test) of Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY). The result of the Exam, which was conducted on 31 October 2010, has recently been declared.

From India, a total of 1636 students from Class XI & XII have been selected for the Final Stage which will be the Personal Interview & will be conducted in the month of January 2011. It includes 557 students from Class XI & 1079 students from Class XII.

KVPY is an Examination conducted by Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru & funded by the Department of Science and Technology of Government of India. The main objective of the examination is to develop the interest of the students in the research work in the field of Science & Technology. The students of Class XI, XII & undergraduate can appear in this examination. The Exam is conducted in two stages. Stage -1 is a Written Test which is followed by the Interview which is the final stage of the Exam. Approximately 300 students from each Class (XI & XII) are selected for the Final Fellowship after the Interview. The amount of Fellowship varies from Rs. 4000 to Rs.7000 per month for the students of Class XI & XII.
