The results of IIT-JEE 2012 for getting admission in to IITs were declared on Friday
(18 May 2012).
Around 5.6 Lakh students appeared for the Joint Entrance Examination of the prestigious
Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) held in 137 cities for 10,000 seats in 15
premier institutes - Kharagpur, Mumbai, Kanpur, Madras, Delhi, Guwahati, Roorkee,
Bhubaneswar, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Patna, Jodhpur, Ropar, Indore & Mandi besides
IT-BHU Varanasi & ISM Dhanbad.
Resonance Eduventures Limited, which is engaged in IIT-JEE preparation for last
11 years, has maintained its spirit of hard work. Regular Classroom Contact Programme
students, Nimit Kumar Singh (AIR 51),Vikas Garg(AIR 53), Shubham Jain(AIR 56), Siddarth
Patel(AIR 60) & Avikalp Kumar Gupta (AIR 99) have been among Top 100( GEN Category)
list of IIT-JEE 2012.Of the 3175 selected students, 2054 students are from the Classroom
Contact Programme ,1099 students from Distance Learning Programme and 22 students
from e-Learning Programme. The top 100 list has 5 students from the Regular Classroom
Contact Programmes & 11 students from Distance Learning Programme.
Addressing a press conference, the Managing Director, Mr. R.K. Verma briefed about
the selections from various Study Centres of Resonance. These include 1400 selections
from Kota Study Centre, 151 from Mumbai, 64 from Delhi, 130 from Jaipur, 96 from
Nagpur, 39 from Bhopal, 79 from Lucknow, 12 from Kolkata, 30 from Udaipur, 16 from
JNV Bundi, 19 from Vizag, 10 from Ahemdabad, 4 from Bhubhaneshwar, 3 from Patna
& 1 from Bengaluru. All the students have been from Regular Classroom Contact Programmes.
According to Mr. R.K. Verma, 2054 students have been selected from the Regular Classroom
Contact Programme, a figure which is 71.59% higher than the last year's (1197).
According to Mr. Manoj Sharma (Vice President, Operations & Business Development)
a total of 11,919 students have been selected from Resonance during 2002 to 2012.
Out of which 7674 students are from the Regular Classroom Contact Programmes, 4223
from the Distance Learning Programmes & 22 students from e- Learning Programmes.
Selection of 3175 students in IIT-JEE 2012 is a result of the collaborative efforts
of students, parents and the committed teachers. Resonance's this year's selections,
which include 5 Ranks in top 100 (51, 53, 56, 60, 99) and 11 Ranks (1,13,17,24,37,42,48,67,68,97,100
) from Distance Learning Programmes are a perfect example of a focused guidance
for IIT-JEE.
