Dr. Homi Bhabha Balvaidnyanik Competition 2019-20 Registrations Started

Dr. Homi Bhabha Balvaidnyanik Competition is conducted by The Greater Bombay Science Teachers' Association since 1981 to encourage students to take interest in science, to inculcate scientific attitude and to search science talent in students and motive them towards basic sciences as well as to clear the scientific concepts among them.

The association has started accepting online entry forms from 1st July till 20th July 2019. The written test of the competition exam will be held on 5th October 2019 (Tentative) as per the official announcement.

In the declared result of JEE Advanced 2019, a total of 277 Hindi Medium Students of Resonance have qualified in JEE Advanced, which is the Highest* in India and a total of 353 Female Candidates from Resonance qualified for IITs which is also the Highest* in India. Resonance's Tradition to achieve success has made it a pioneer coaching Institute in the field of JEE Advanced. And it intends to keep on performing this brilliantly in the future too.

Who can participate in the Competition? : - Students studying only in 6 std. and 9 std.

Medium : - English, Semi-English and Marathi (Note: - Students participating from Semi-English can choose medium either English or Marathi as per their comfort level but once selected medium should not be changed for further level.)

Registration Process :-
Registration for the competition should be done by online and through school only.
Registration done through private classes or academy will not be considered at any circumstances.
Students from Semi-English medium school can choose only one medium either English or Marathi. Once the student selects the medium, it cannot be changed. It will remain the same for all the remaining phases of the competition.

Competition Fee :- (Per Students) I) Rs. 250 /- For All regions & All types of schools (With Regular Fee) II) Rs. 300 /- With Late fee. III) Rs. 500 /- For Individual Registration (Students who are not able to register his /her name through school.)

Dr Homi Bhabha Balvaidnyanik Competition is conducted in the following three stages :-

  • Stage-1 : It is a written test of 90 minutes duration, based on science & G. K. Top 7.5% students are selected for stage-2.
  • Stage–2 : It is a practical based exam of 30 minutes. Top 10% students are selected for stage-3.
  • Stage-3 : It is an interview round which consists 30% marks of stage-1, stage-2 & stage-3.

Top 10% students will get Gold Medals, certificates and scholarships of Rs. 3000/-.

Next 60% candidates will get Silver Medals, certificates and scholarships of Rs. 2000/-.

Remaining candidates will get Bronze Medals, certificates and scholarships of Rs. 1000/-.
